Lord of the sky by TheMetasepia Lord of the sky by TheMetasepia
More Pokemon art! I don't know why I decided to draw this guy, but the idea of giving it a bit more organic looking body and plates of bronze made it seem like a fun thing to draw. And it was! It took me a lot of time, though not because it was all that tricky to draw(the hands were, but not the rest). I'm too good at distracting myself while drawing, which can get in the way of productivity a lot.
Anyway, I've never drawn oxidized bronze, or bronze in general, before and it was pretty fun.

Second only to Darkrai, Rayquaza is at the top of my list for favorite Legends. I love how perfectly you blended the rest of his body into the surrounding ozone. :)

Rayquaza is the most awesome pokemon ever created :D I really like how this is realistic! It's amazing how ppl can get anime art and turn it into realistic art... Pokemon so awesome ^^
I like the lighting, it gives it a kinda mysterious feeling...

Thanks! And yeah, it's a pretty awesome pokemon ^^
I think half the fun is figuring out how to make them more realistic while still keeping the general shape of their body.
And I'm really glad to hear that :)
